If you are looking for the perfect place to view and enjoy the spectacular fall foliage that Vermont is famous for, look no further than the vistas from the back yard of the Green Mountain Inn.
For more than a century, people have traveled to Stowe to marvel at the gorgeous fall colors covering the mountains, and it is still one of the most popular times to visit Vermont. The cool weather and great scenery encourage tourism at its best. You can take advantage of all Stowe offers; an abundance of outdoor activities, or unique and eclectic shops, galleries, craft breweries, live music venues, wineries, theatres, award-winning restaurants and so much more.
It is impossible to predict exactly when the season will illuminate the surrounding scenery with it’s amazing colors; temperature, sun and rainfall all play a part in the timing of its peak, a little different from year to year. It is the subject of endless speculation with the area locals. As a general rule, the last week in September and the first two weeks of October are the ideal times to see natures wonders; with some isolated colors both before and after. You can find the state’s “fall foliage forecaster” here (insert link at here: https://vermontvacation.com/vermont-seasons/fall/foliage-forecaster/) for more information on peak timing.
